This book continues the story of Fred and Lucy. I am loving the story; it feels like I am one of them. It's refreshing to read something unique and interesting in a Young Adult romance book.
I love the relationship between Lucy, Molly, and Hugh. At first, I thought Hugh was going to create problems for Lucy and Fred, like a speed bump. However, he is mature, and I appreciate him for helping Fred understand his mistakes. And, I loved his line 'If you don't treat her right, there are others who are going to.'
I am a little disappointed by Fred, because he seems to be making the same mistake of thinking that Lucy does everything and he is not capable of it. But at the same time, I also get how he belongs to a small village, and he feels insecure. Also, he feels like he does not deserve Lucy, but it happened twice, and it was a little frustrating. But, anyway, Lucy is the mature one in this relationship, and I love how she is doing anything and everything that she can to make the dreams come true of Fred. And, how she is the bigger person and does not get hurt by Fred's insecurity
I also love how Lucy's father is trying to understand the relationship between Lucy and Fred and be there for them, and also how he understood Fred's wish to go to school and become a teacher.
I like the simplicity in this story. Reading this feels so refreshing. I am eagerly waiting for the third book, and I hope Fred realizes his mistakes and does not repeat them.
