Take Me Back to Yesterday
Hey Lovelies, how are you all? 💛
Today I'm sharing a book with a time-travel trope. And, this was my first time reading time-travel.
This story is about Emma Adler—a girl considered a troublemaker, who isn't afraid of anything, doesn't have any friends, and thinks she is too hard to love.
However, when she meets a shy boy—Myles Green, who is afraid of almost everything, doesn't talk much, and is her new neighbor, Emma is determined to make him her friend.
Emma and Myles have bonded really well over the years and are inseparable until Myles went to high school, and Emma is still in middle school (this is what she thinks).
They start to drift apart slowly, and one incident makes them separate for three years. In these three years, Myles started hating Emma. And, Emma let him.
One day, Mallory (Emma's sister) is declared dead, and Emma claims that Myles killed her. And Myles is sent to prison.
But when Emma travels back in time, three days before Mallory dies, she is determined to stop Myles from killing her sister, but she is met with many unexpected turns of events.
This book is Take Me Back to Yesterday by Jasmine Little.
I've to tell you, if Jasmine Little writes it, I'll read it.
I love all her books. Her books made me fall in love with Young Adults.
Tell you what, this book will make you cry, weep, smile, blush, and you won't be able to put this book down.
Things I love:
Myles Green—a perfect gentleman.
The bond between Emma and Mallory—not perfect, but having a sister, I totally understood their dynamics.
The last few chapters—felt like a Déjà vu of previous chapters.
The ending—everyone got their perfect happy ending.
My Rating: 5 🌟
My advice: Please read it.
