Let's Pretend I'm Okay
Hey Lovelies, how are you all? 💛
Today, I am sharing a review of a book with a bittersweet ending. If you love happy endings like me, you must try reading this book.
I was unsure I would ever love a book with a bittersweet ending. Because I am reading fiction for a reason and want it to be perfect. But, somehow the cover of the book and the title attracted me so much and I am glad I picked up this book.
So, the book is about a girl—Margo, who is diagnosed with cancer and a boy—Daniel, who is as devastated as a person can be.
The book revolves around their love and life story. Margo knows she is going to die and she wants her sister who is an introvert and a hopeless romantic (like most of us here 😁) to fall in love and have someone who can take care of her when she is gone. But, Annie—Margo's sister forms a crush on Daniel, who according to Margo is a bad boy. She thinks he is not the guy for her sister and wants to prove it to her.
While finding the truth about Daniel's personality and odd behavior, Margo gets attracted to him. Daniel also starts to like Margo. But, he doesn't know the truth about her health. And, when he gets to know he still wants her. But, Margo is not ready to give in. But, anyway, they fall in love with each other.
I was so devastated at the end when I found out Margo died, I knew it was going to happen but I was just hoping some magic will happen and she will be able to live again. It was such a sad ending yet I was content with the book. I am in love with this book.
I also love the bond between the two sisters. I have not read any book before that shows how beautiful life is when you have a sister. She is your biggest supporter. She is your best friend, movie partner, gossip partner, and crime partner. She will be willing to do things she doesn't like just to be with you and spend time with you.
I just want to keep reading this book and was hoping it never ends. But, I finished it in 2 days. This book is the second book by the author and I have read the first book and I liked that book too. But, this book has my heart, my soul, my everything. This book is definitely going to be in my favorites list.
The book is Let's Pretend I'm Okay by Jasmine Little.
My rating: 5/5 stars.
I request you all to read this book. Every person needs to read this book. I hope you love this book, comment and tell me your thoughts about this book.
