P.S. I Still Love You
Hey Lovelies, how are you all? 💛
It's time for me to tell you about my opinions on the book #2 of the series, To All The Boys, i.e., P.S. I Still Love You.
Honestly speaking, I am a little disappointed by this book. I liked the movie better than the book.
There are many scenes that I have loved in the movie that are not from the book, and I was disappointed with it.
The 1st scene is where Lara Jean kisses John Ambrose and realises that she wanted him to be someone else, and that someone else is Peter. But in the book, it's not like this.
The 2nd scene where Peter comes to pick up Lara Jean, because it was snowing, and she once mentioned that she doesn't like to drive in the snow. How thoughtful this scene was. This was one of my favorite scenes, but it's not in the book. I am highly disappointed.
The 3rd scene is connected to the previous one; Peter doesn't come because Lara Jean called; he comes by himself. But in the book, Lara Jean calls him to the tree house, and then he comes. This was also a major disappointment for me.
And this book is more about teenage drama and confusion, rather than focusing on Lara Jean and Peter. (My opinion)
But the game in the book was nice; the movie adaptation of the game would have been nice. Additionally, the scene of opening the Time Capsule was not part of Lara Jean and John Ambrose's plan, which was also a nice touch.
But, in the end, Lara Jean and Peter get together; that's all that matters.
My Ratings: 4 🌟
The only reason I am giving this book a 4-star is because I love the dialogue of the Korean word 'Jung' that Lara Jean says, and also because I am biased towards this series (a little).
