Beg, Borrow, or Steal

Hey Lovelies, how are you all? 💛

Today I am sharing a book review with the favorite trope of most of the readersEnemies to Lovers

The story is about two people who know and despise each other from their college days. They are academic rivals, and both are very competitive.

The story is about Emily and Jack. Emily—living in a small town, elder sibling, confident and perfectionist, always there to help her siblings but cannot take help from others. Jack—a secret mystery writer, lives a colorful life, also a perfectionist, loving, charming, and can win the hearts of anyone with his charm and communication skills.

The storyline was very nice, and the writing style of this author I have always loved. The only thing I thought was in the beginning the enemies part was a little less but honestly, I enjoyed the friendship and lover part more.

This book is written for the person who has been mature from childhood for whatever reason it may be. A person who hasn't been a child from within in a long time. Those who may enjoy life seem happy from the outside but have deep scars inside. Both Emily and Jackson were dealing with many hard emotions and they needed to be loved in a way. Emily was not ready to let anyone in because she thought like her parents, grandma, and siblings one day he would also leave her. And Jack needed to be loved in a way that ensured him that she would be there for her no matter what, they could talk about feelings and whatever emotions they had bottled inside. They are truly opposite, one running from finding a safe haven and the other searching for that. But the thing common between them is they are deep down lonely, and how they fight their scares and try to comfort each other is lovable.

The book is Beg, Borrow, or Steal by Sarah Adams. Book #3 of the 'When in Rome series'.

My rating for the book is 4.5 ⭐.
